Surah Al-Humazah ( The Slanderer ) - Aya count 9
وَيۡلٞ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٖ لُّمَزَةٍ ﰀ ﴿١﴾
Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter,
ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالٗا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ ﰁ ﴿٢﴾
Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by,
يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ ﰂ ﴿٣﴾
Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever!
كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ ﰃ ﴿٤﴾
By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces,
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ ﰄ ﴿٥﴾
And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces?
نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ ﰅ ﴿٦﴾
(It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze),
ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ ﰆ ﴿٧﴾
The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts:
إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةٞ ﰇ ﴿٨﴾
It shall be made into a vault over them,
فِي عَمَدٖ مُّمَدَّدَةِۭ ﰈ ﴿٩﴾
