Surah Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Aya count 11
ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ ﰀ ﴿١﴾
The (Day) of Noise and Clamour:
مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ ﰁ ﴿٢﴾
What is the (Day) of Noise and Clamour?
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ ﰂ ﴿٣﴾
And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is?
يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ ﰃ ﴿٤﴾
(It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about,
وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ ﰄ ﴿٥﴾
And the mountains will be like carded wool.
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ﰅ ﴿٦﴾
Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy,
فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ ﰆ ﴿٧﴾
Will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction.
وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ﰇ ﴿٨﴾
But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,-
فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٞ ﰈ ﴿٩﴾
Will have his home in a (bottomless) Pit.
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡ ﰉ ﴿١٠﴾
And what will explain to thee what this is?
نَارٌ حَامِيَةُۢ ﰊ ﴿١١﴾
(It is) a Fire Blazing fiercely!
