Surah At-Tariq ( The Night-Comer ) - Aya count 17
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ ﰀ ﴿١﴾
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);-
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ ﰁ ﴿٢﴾
And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?-
ٱلنَّجۡمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ ﰂ ﴿٣﴾
(It is) the Star of piercing brightness;-
إِن كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ لَّمَّا عَلَيۡهَا حَافِظٞ ﰃ ﴿٤﴾
There is no soul but has a protector over it.
فَلۡيَنظُرِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ ﰄ ﴿٥﴾
Now let man but think from what he is created!
خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٖ دَافِقٖ ﰅ ﴿٦﴾
He is created from a drop emitted-
يَخۡرُجُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ ٱلصُّلۡبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ ﰆ ﴿٧﴾
Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs:
إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجۡعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٞ ﰇ ﴿٨﴾
Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)!
يَوۡمَ تُبۡلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ ﰈ ﴿٩﴾
The Day that (all) things secret will be tested,
فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٖ وَلَا نَاصِرٖ ﰉ ﴿١٠﴾
(Man) will have no power, and no helper.
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجۡعِ ﰊ ﴿١١﴾
By the Firmament which returns (in its round),
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدۡعِ ﰋ ﴿١٢﴾
And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),-
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلٞ فَصۡلٞ ﰌ ﴿١٣﴾
Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil):
وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلۡهَزۡلِ ﰍ ﴿١٤﴾
It is not a thing for amusement.
إِنَّهُمۡ يَكِيدُونَ كَيۡدٗا ﰎ ﴿١٥﴾
As for them, they are but plotting a scheme,
وَأَكِيدُ كَيۡدٗا ﰏ ﴿١٦﴾
And I am planning a scheme.
فَمَهِّلِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ أَمۡهِلۡهُمۡ رُوَيۡدَۢا ﰐ ﴿١٧﴾
Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile).
