Surah Al-A'la ( The Most High ) - Aya count 19
سَبِّحِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡأَعۡلَى ﰀ ﴿١﴾
Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High,
ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ﰁ ﴿٢﴾
Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion;
وَٱلَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ ﰂ ﴿٣﴾
Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance;
وَٱلَّذِيٓ أَخۡرَجَ ٱلۡمَرۡعَىٰ ﰃ ﴿٤﴾
And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture,
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحۡوَىٰ ﰄ ﴿٥﴾
And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble.
سَنُقۡرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ ﰅ ﴿٦﴾
By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget,
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ وَمَا يَخۡفَىٰ ﰆ ﴿٧﴾
Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden.
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلۡيُسۡرَىٰ ﰇ ﴿٨﴾
And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path).
فَذَكِّرۡ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ ﰈ ﴿٩﴾
Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer).
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰ ﰉ ﴿١٠﴾
The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah):
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى ﰊ ﴿١١﴾
But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones,
ٱلَّذِي يَصۡلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ ﰋ ﴿١٢﴾
Who will enter the Great Fire,
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيَىٰ ﰌ ﴿١٣﴾
In which they will then neither die nor live.
قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ ﰍ ﴿١٤﴾
But those will prosper who purify themselves,
وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ ﰎ ﴿١٥﴾
And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer.
بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا ﰏ ﴿١٦﴾
Day (behold), ye prefer the life of this world;
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ ﰐ ﴿١٧﴾
But the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ ﰑ ﴿١٨﴾
And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),-
صُحُفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ ﰒ ﴿١٩﴾
The Books of Abraham and Moses.
